dream analysis study

THE DREAM The dream was something to do with burials. I buried 6 and a woman buried 6. There was something about a 13th body.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION The day before the dreamer ignored an ex girlfriend. They had tried to remain friends but it was not working out. The burials were symbolic of moving on. When you bury someone you start to heal the wounds and start to accept that the relationship has ended. Here both the man and woman were burying bodies. This indicates that both needed to forget the past and move on without each other.

To understand a drream you often need to make associations with it. Think about the symbols and what comes to mind. Here there is a man who buries six bodies and a woman who buries six bodies. This scene reminds me of the phrase "it's six of one and half a dozen of the other". This is a phrase often used when people are bickering and it is saying that both parties are to blame. Perhaps this dream uses this metaphor to drive home the point.
