THE DREAM I had a dream of cheating on my boyfriend.

THE REALITY The dreamer used to be in a very abusive relationship. She used to get many dreams of her ex cheating on her. Now she is over all that and is with a man who respects her.

THE INTERPRETATION If someone is cheating on you and has cheated on you before then its easy to see where the cheating comes from. It shows a lack of trust in your partner. Perhaps this dream comes as a reaction to her present situation. Now she really values her present partner and would hate to think that she is cheating. At the heart of the dream is her wish to faithful to her partner and wish to avoid anything that would offend him.

The language of dreams is actually very sophisticated. The dreamer was obviously horrified to think that she was cheating on her boyfriend so that's probably its meaning. The dream was showing her do something that she obviously never do so that's probably something that's linked to its meaning. It shows the switch in her thinking from her former partner. It probably shows her guilt at doing anything that undermines the relationship. She possibly punishes herself for the slightest thing.
