THE DREAM I dreamed I was on a beach or island waiting, then a guy friend (which in my dream was my closest friend or almost boyfriend) comes hurrying (seems to cross a bridge to come to the island / beach) to hug me, celebrating, we are both really happy, saying things would finally be as the where supposed to be. It finally happened (not sure what it was) It's dawn, the skies are blue with golden red. At the beach there's an little cottage where we live.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION The day before -

Things aren't going great in my relationship with my husband. We seem to have totally different standards and needs.

I had dinner with my mother in law, brother in law and my children. It felt as how family diners supposed to be. Warm, cosy, no heavy feelings.

I felt understood by my mother in law concerning my relationship troubles with her son.

Dreams are not so much about the facts of our lives - they are more about our feelings. Yes I see how this dream relates to the cozy dinner you had the night before. It shows the importance of that support that your mother in law gave - that's half way to achieving the improvements that you want. If we feel understood then that's half way to achieving our goals.

I think what's happened here is that your mother in law has helped you picture in your mind the outcome you want and in doing that you start to see things how they should be. So its very much an emotional dream.

Oh yes and the bit that probably confused you was the dream featured a 'boyfriend' rather than your husband. That probably shows that you want that romantic boyfriend back again. Its actually a dream about your husband and for your wish for him to show the romance that a boyfriend shows.
