THE REALITY Dreams represent your own feelings. If you could understand dreams and their meanings then they would translate into things like "I think my son hates me"(or other quotes like that).

In your case the dream does represent your thoughts about your own son. The dog biting is symbolic of your worries that your son hates you (he likes the dog that bites you).
