THE DREAM Last night I had a dream that I was fighting a demon who was in male form and I was using wit an trickery to defeat him. Once I defeated him I became invisible but was trapped in a cage and two others appeared beside it and I found out that I was pregnant to him and the two other cages trapped my future self and my child. I then remembered that an old lady had hypnotised me into fighting this demon because he was haunting her and me and my child had to be trapped as well so she would stop being haunted.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION This is not a recurring dream and I am neither in a relationship or pregnant. However, today I did experience a lot of pain and was told that I possibly have endometriosis.

That's a fascinating dream. I wasn't sure what endometriosis was and looked it up. Its linked to the womb and so is highly linked to pregnancy.

Trying to overcome a demon and feeling haunted are two very strong metaphors which could be used to express your emotions towards illness and pain.

Dreams are not about the facts of your life they are about the emotions. The dream tells the story of your emotions ... its about how you are relating to this pain

Its strange that you had the dream only last night before you had the pain.

This dream is a good explanation of what having endometiosis is like. It is like a personal story to yourself about what is happening for you so you can see your suffering from another point of view. A point of view where you can name it and have a better sense of control over it.

The cells that line the uterus are the cells that cause bleeding through menstruation. They breakdown each month. In endometriosis these cells are found in places other than lining the walls of the womb - for instance like inside the wall of the uterus or even as patches in other places in the abdomen or ovaries. When they are in the walls of the uterus they are trapped there like the demon in the cage in this dream.

The link to babies is also relevant to this pain. When women fall pregnant the embryo embeds itself into the wall of the uterus and can cause what is called implantation pain. This pain is very similar to the pain of endometriosis when it comes.

The dream is explaining this truth as a dream story where the pain is caused by the trapped source of it - the demon that has a name that may be endometriosis.

I hope you take time to understand how endometriosis works by educating yourself. The more you understand the easier it will be for you to find a path that will help you personally avoid being captured by this pain trap endometriosis is offering your inner sense of yourself.

Endometriosis can be managed - you are the one who can make choices on how you will do this. The dream is showing you you can see the problem - you are not in the cage so you have the capacity to influence the outcome at this time.
