THE DREAM - I was at what appeared to be a Marina. The water was shallow. Looking into the water I saw two whales. At first I thought they were killer whales yet when the surfaced they were not. I do not know the type of whale, It was not a huge whale, maybe 20 feet. It was grey and what appeared to be a cloudy aqua colour. However they appeared to be happy. They came up to be stroked. I was able to touch both of them. It was an amazing experience.

GUESSWORK Over the previous two days the dreamer had been inspired to write poetry. She was also having in depth spiritual conversations with a friend.

ASSOCIATIONS AND SYMBOLIC MEANINGS
1. WHALE. Whales are often seen as highly spiritual creatures. They are extremely mysterious and amazing. They can symbolise other worlds and deep thinking. They tap into something deeper and significant. So they represent other ways in which we think deeply - such as poetry and spiritual thinking.
2. CLOSE ENOUGH TO STROKE. If this dream is about the dreamers spiritual thinking then the way the whales act hints at her mood. Religion is often very abstract and difficult to fathom. It often seems divorced from reality. Yet here the dreamer has been thinking in deep ways that touch her in a very real sense. So therefore the whales are very close and indeed close enough to touch.
