dream analysis study

THE DREAM - crying out for help I was in my care home. One of the residents (Sarah) was leaving the living room and then suddenly collapsed and fell over. She was rolling over and desperately crying for help. I tried to do something but all I could do was cry for help from the staff of my care home. I was worried that she might die.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The woman who collapsed in the dream had become increasingly ill. There was not much the dreamer could do and crying out for help from the carers in his care home was about as good a help he could provide. The basic theme of the dream was connected to the dreamers worries about the health of a fellow resident in his care home. The dream is like a short story which captures the following type of feeling - "Sarah is getting increasingly ill. I don't really know how to help her and there is nothing much I could do other than rely on the staff to sort her out". The dream then is fairly literal in it's meaning as the dreamer was starting to realise how serious Sarah's illness was getting.
