How to make a dream dictionary
THE DREAM I was at a park and I saw a crowd of police cars and cops investigating a homicide. I went up to them and asked who was killed. They said my boyfriends name and I just broke down crying I've never cried so much in my life. The police were about to leave to try to find who killed him and I wanted to go but they wouldn't let me. I've never missed or loved him so much. I never stopped crying I was so devastated.

GUESSWORK The dreamer had been with her boyfriend for three years. A few weeks before they had had an argument and had not spoken to each other until the night before. That night they got back together and everything was great. She had woke up from the dream crying.
The "Guesswork" stage of interpreting a dream involves spotting issues likely to cause dreams. For help with this click here
ASSOCIATIONS AND SYMBOLIC MEANINGS
1. BOYFRIEND MURDERED. If someone dies in a dream then it could be your dreams way of saying "Can I live without that person." In this case the dreamer had not been talking to her boyfriend for a few weeks and now they really needed to decide if they wanted to continue being together. The night before the dream the dreamer got back together with her boyfriend and she had realised that she she had to fight for the relationship. So she realised that she needed to sort out the problems and learn to value the relationship. 2. CRYING. Crying for someone who has died basically shows that you value that person and miss them.
DREAM ANALYSIS In guesswork the dream was linked to the dreamers thoughts about her recent split with her boyfriend. It dealt with the following themes.
- Feeling devastated
- The prospect of living without her boyfriend
If you weave together the different themes you find that they could capture this thought that the dreamer was thinking at the time-"I do not know how I would have coped without my boyfriend. I know now that I really missed him. The thought that life would have continued on without him! I would have been devastated if he had died."
The dreamer had obviously been having problems with her boyfriend and now needed to decide if they should split. If someone dies in real life then you will never see them again. So its really just the same thing as someone dying - effectively they have died. A dream about her boyfriend dying is just another way of asking "what would she do without him".
