THE DREAM I was looking at this huge monument. It was like a church or tower that rose so far into the sky. I was thinking would it be possible to bring this huge church down. I was thinking of it like a tree - chopping it down safely. I was thinking I could get out of the way quite easily. I was kind of asking myself "can I knock this down?" and "could I knock this down?"

BACKGROUND INFORMATION The dreamer noted that the huge tree was located on a road which he had passed the previous day. At that exact point he had been thinking about someone who he had fallen out with. He had known this person for along time and he had been very important in his life. He had really admired him in the past but was now thinking about cutting himself off from him full stop.

The huge church was obviously a symbol of the dreamers great faith in this man. He had really believed in him as a role model. Its really significant that the dream took place at the exact place where the dreamer had been thinking about this person the night before. Dreams use little devices like these and they are helpful in saying knowing that the dream was definitely about this issue.

The dream asked certain questions which were almost identical to the questions the dreamer had been asking himself. In the dream the dreamer was asking himself the questions "Can I knock this down?" and in real life he was thinking "Could I cut this person off?" So really the dream is about this significant moment in the dreamers life when he thinks of cutting off someone who had been very important but whom now had served his purpose. The dream shows that this was an important decision not to be taken without thought.
