THE DREAM - I with some really cool famous people. They are pop stars that I really adore. Although I am with them there seems to be some distance between me and them. Later I am on a long walk. I think that there is not long left. I have just got to keep moving. I am then at my Grandmas. It seems to be a Friday night. I am a young teenager again. I am about to head back home.

THE REALITY The dreamer had been fantasizing recently. She was dreaming about being with her new friends. She wanted to have a really cool time with them. At heart she knew that these were really geeky and rather sad friends.

THE INTERPRETATION It is important to make associations with the various dream symbols. Then we can trace possible triggers of the dream. In this case the dreamer associated the pop stars with her recent fantasies. She had been dreaming about having a cool time with her new friends.

The dream takes her back to when she was about 14 years old. She used to go to her grandmothers on a Friday night. So really this dream is linking this cool wish to be like a pop star to an example of when the dreamer was spending her Friday nights not with cool friends but her grandmother. There has got to be some conceptual meaning to this. The dreamer felt that she was fantasizing about being cool but knew that she was geeky and sad.
