THE DREAM: I was making something artistic. There was a neighbour there who I often talk too. She said don't do anything like all that Degas rubbish(Degas was famous for beautiful paintings of ballet dancers).

THE REALITY The dreamer had been doing a lot of artwork recently and his neighbour always took a big interest in it. This dreamer neighbour had been ill recently with bad water retention which had caused her feet to swell up. She was very interested in art and Degas was a painter who is very famous for his pastel paintings of ballet dancers. Before the trouble with her feet she would probably have been eager to look at pictures of beautiful ballet dancers. But now she would be slightly depressed at the site of ballet dancers on the tips of their toes. This dream emphasises the feeling that the dreamers neighbour was a little sensitive about her swelling feet.
