THE DREAM I was in a computer room at the college I go to in a room with my mum, dad, sisters, boyfriend and a few close friends. I suddenly become very aware of sharp pains in my neck, I look down to find a collar of hundreds of leeches circling my neck.

My mum and boyfriend tell me to take one off to see how much I bleed. I do so and the blood gushes out of my neck and the leech. I start to cry at the realisation that I wont get out of it alive.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION I split up with my boyfriend of 2 and a half years a month or so ago, we have recently decided to try again but there are lots of trust issues on both sides. I don't have a good relationship with my family etc. so I guess I can see some parts of this dream but I don't understand it fully..

Well both your mother and boyfriend are together in the dream. The atmosphere is good with both encouraging you. That's really a symbol of the present atmosphere.... one of reasonable discussion and a willingness to look at the problem logically and sensibly. In short it proves that your boyfriend is really trying.

But the leeches are symbols of all the problems in the past. All the problems with trust are sucking the life out of you. I suppose the feeling that you will die is a symbol that you fear that its too much to overcome. That you believe at the back of your mind that things will fail

But please do not decide how to act based upon your dreams. Your emotions are up and down and often all over the place. That's the nature of emotions... they constantly change
