THE DREAM I was watching some children. They were in a primary school. They had been separated off and each suspended in a rather tortuous position. The way they were suspended reminded me of the exercises I have to take to help cope with my asthma. I saw the look on the little children's faces and they looked tortured and scared. But I also seemed to know that they were safe.

THE REALITY The dreamer had been suffering chronic health problems. The very next day he was due to have an important meeting to discuss his health situation. He knew his new social worker was going to be asking some very difficult and invasive questions.

DREAM MEANING The dream captures the following feeling within the dreamer - "I am due to meet my new social worker tomorrow. I know that the questions are going to be very invasive. I am not looking forward to it. But I know its for the best"

DREAM ANALYSIS The dream mind is almost like a diary of the emotions that you felt the day before. So much so that you can easily trace back exact emotions to the day before. This dream is easy to interpret because the emotions that the dreamer felt match up with those in the dream.

The sense of torture in the dream was linked specifically the sense of dread at a very gruelling interview the next day. The children perhaps link to the dreamers fear that his life was being taken over. His health situation had got so bad that his life was being taken over by health workers.

Yet there was also a sense of safety mixed in with these tortured children. A sense that this was for the best. This captured the feelings of safety and safe environment associated with his social worker.

Finally the dreamer also immediately associated the dream with some breathing exercises he had been taught. He didn't like doing these exercises but knew that his situation would immediately improve if he kept to this exercise regime.

CHILDREN : "The dreamers life was becoming so bad that people were taking over and making decisions for him(in the same way as children have decisions taken for them). "
SAFE : "The dreamer realised that the help he was getting with his health was invasive and difficult to accept yet he knew it was for the best"
TORTURED : "The sense of real dread over an interview the next day"
