dream analysis study

THE DREAM - I woke up with a tune in my mind. I played it on the piano and wrote down the melody.

THE REALITY The dreamer was Paul MacCartney - of the world famous Beatles. He woke up and wrote down the tune in his dream. The song - "Yesterday" became one of their best hits. He could not believe that he had written such a good song . He was even convinced that the song was someone else's which he had picked up.

DREAM INTERPRETATION Musicians occasionally state that they were inspired to write a song after listening to a dream. Here Paul MacCartney memorized the tune and wrote it down. There was a certain amount of logic to the melody moving from B to E minor. His creative mind had obviously composed this song during sleep.
