THE DREAM I was in a car driven by someone I know (who can actually be very annoying in real life). He was driving at 100 miles an hour going to this small town up the coast. I was being flung about the car. I was also very drunk.

THE REALITY : The dreamer often said that he needed to drink alcohol when he was in the presence of the man in the dream. He found him really annoying and irritating. He had met him the day before and this left him all flustered and confused. He had a real moment of frustration. Dreams are often triggered by events and emotions from the day before, as we transfer thoughts from short term memory into long term memory. So this dream reinforced the dreamers belief that the man in the dream was annoying and was best avoided.

The dream then captures this thought "that guy leaves me annoyed and irritated as he talks at 100 miles per hour." The dream shows that he felt as if he had been flung around at 100 MPH.
