THE DREAM The dream took place at a football match. I was picked for Manchester United but I felt a bit tired and needed a rest. The manager was Alex Ferguson (a known disciplinarian) who decided that if I wanted a rest then I would have been out of the team for good. He would not be chosen again. Ferguson was his usual dominant self.Then Roy Keane flashed into my mind.

THE REALITY The dreamer linked this dream to a relationship. The previous day he met a friend in the morning. The previous day this friend had said that they should not meet the next day. But, when they met the next day this friend said that he could come round later on in the day. However the dreamer said that he would come the next day as first agreed. The dreamer had been feeling exhausted in real life and wanted a rest from someone who could be quite tiring. The dreamer then realised that this friend might take offence as they had been meeting every day.

The dream has some good connections with real life. The dreamer had been exhausted in real life and the dream featured someone who was tired during the game. The dream also finished with the man Roy Keane which was a play on words. This stood for someone who was "keen" and was showing willing.

The dream also featured someone who was a strong character and a strict manager. This stood for the dreamers friend who was a very dominant character. He felt this friend would take offence at what may be seen as a snub. The dreamer had made an attempt to take charge with someone who was very dominant and always like to be similarly in charge.
