THE DREAM I had a dream about being in hospital - it seemed to be a psychiatric hospital. I was trying to eat but I kept spilling everything. A woman who seemed t be a nurse looked disapprovingly at me. I kept moving about on my bed but still kept finding food and trying to eat it. I then looked at the nurse and said "How long have I been in hospital?" She said "Just one week - your just a beginner"

THE REALITY The dreamers general health had been worsening as he had fallen out with a good friend. He was getting extremely untidy at home and had decided to sleep on his sofa. When he woke up he decided that this was not a good idea and moved back into his bedroom to sleep. He also made attempts at improving his diet. He had been treated for his stomach problems as he was often throwing up for no reason. He knew he was getting into bad ways. The psychiatric hospital was a symbol of this ill health but it also showed that he was responsive to "treatment" and he would make attempts to make himself better.
