Concern in dreams: Dreams are symbolic versions of our own thoughts. The symbols used are linked to how our minds store conceptual thoughts and emotions. If analysed properly they will translate into a quote which captures a key feeling at the time of the dream. Since dreams are linked to the here and now then most dreams will translate into the types of thoughts we would tell a good friend or write down in a diary. For example a dream which has "concern" in it could translate into a word like "trauma". Try to see if that word appears in your key feelings. For instance if you were thinking "I am suffering from a deep trauma. It is getting worse." In that way the word "trauma" is linked to something that we are "concerned" about.

- "worried / not worried" Have you been worried about something which others are not concerned about? Are you unconcerned about something that others are worried about? If yes the dream is about the theme of worrying in some aspect of your life.

- "Trauma" "mental health problems" Have you been thinking about mental health problems? Are you recovering from traumas? If yes then your dream is about your assessments about how you are progressing.

- "health problems" Are you worried about your health deteriorating? Has someone health started to worsen which is causing you concern?

Dreams can use symbols in quite sophisticated ways. For instance a "concern" dream may link to the key word "vulnerable" but it may represent a thought such as "Everyone thinks he is vulnerable but I do not buy it. He is juts going to have to fend for himself". In that way the "concern" in the dream will link to the theme of concern and vulnerability. If the dream uses the symbol in sophisticated ways then there will be hints that the symbol is not used in a simplistic way.
