Dreading in dreams: Dreams are symbolic versions of our own thoughts. The symbols used are linked to how our minds store conceptual thoughts and emotions. If analysed properly they will translate into a quote which captures a key feeling at the time of the dream. Since dreams are linked to the here and now then most dreams will translate into the types of thoughts we would tell a good friend or write down in a diary. For example a dream which has "Dreading" in it could translate into a word like "awful". Try to see if that word appears in your key feelings. For instance if you were thinking "I scared of going to work tomorrow. The atmosphere is awful" In that way the word "awful" is linked to something that we are "dreading".
Full list of keywords which link to "problems" in dreams
- "Awful" Having you been thinking about someone who is truly awful? Did something awful happen on the day before the dream? Were you humiliated the day before the dream? Could the dream be a premonition of something awful which happened the next day?
- "Relationship problems" Has your partner just cheated on you? Have you just broken up with your boyfriend / girlfriend? If yes then the dream is about you having dreadful emotions right now.
Understanding "dreading" dreams is not so difficult. Dreams link to conscious feelings so simply look at the thoughts that you might tell a best friend or write down in a diary. Think how you might use the word "dreadful" to describe your emotions right now. Did something "dreadful" happen the day before? Are you dreading going somewhere tomorrow. The story in the dream may seem unrelated to real life but the dream simply repeats the emotions connected with the word "dread".
