Using psychology we find that REAL "liar" dreams (in our database) link to the following real feelings(each quote represents the thought or feeling that triggered the dream. Links to full dreams and analyses appear at the bottom of this page)
- "I am in total turmoil and if I told someone how I felt and what I was going through they would NOT BELIEVE ME." (thats an easy association because when people don't believe you they think you were a liar. Just ask yourself when did you think that someone felt you were a liar and that thought may have triggered your liar dream.)
- "I decided to STAY SILENT AND HOPE THE TRUTH WOULD COME OUT. She has been trying to turn my boss against me yet now she is falling out of favour." (liars are associated with many negative relationships)
Liars in dreams:Understanding dreams is not so difficult. In practice dream symbols translate into certain words within the English language. For instance a "liar" dream may simply translate into the word "disbelief" and the dream captures the feeling "I cannot believe that he can get away with what he is doing. He knows I know the truth". Dreams tend to be about very specific things like this yet they only capture your feelings rather than the details of the thought.
Keywords linked to running dreams - "Disbelief" (Are things so bad that you simply cannot believe what is happening to you? What left you with a feeling of disbelief yesterday?)
- "Manipulative" (Is someone spreading lies about you? Are you sick of someone's devious ways? Are you thinking of devious ways to get your own way?)
Dreams tend to be in the here and now as they are linked to brain processes which transfer thoughts from short term memory banks into long term memory banks. So that makes analysing dreams much easier. A liar dream can symbolise feelings connected with a thought such "I know she is manipulating me. But I don't mind as I know what is truth and what is just in her mind." Dreams will tend to be about very specific thought like this.
Many people think that dreams link to vague generalisations but careful analysis shows that they capture very specific thoughts. A dream will link to the types of thoughts that you might write down in a diary or tell a best friend. So if a dream can link to a wish to "manipulative" then the dream could capture a thought such as "She knows when I am being manipulative. It's pointless so I should try to be more straight with her". Always try to translate a dreams meaning into quotes like this as that goes to the very heart of dream analysis.
